About the Founder
I am Maria Carine Kallasy. My path began in the study of international affairs, philosophy, and education, culminating in seven years devoted to doctoral research on meaning, values, and the way individuals shape their place in the world. Throughout this journey, one conviction became increasingly clear to me: in an era defined by acceleration and imitation, the preservation of identity has become a rare form of elegance. We live in a world where multiplicity often wears the same costume driven by trends, consumption, and fleeting narratives. I began searching for a language capable of expressing individuality while preserving privacy, value, and dignity. That language was jewelry. Jewelry occupies a singular place in human culture. It is perhaps the only object that exists simultaneously as beauty, symbol, and enduring value. On a personal level, it becomes a form of self-recognition something we choose not only to wear, but to embody. A piece of jewelry can mark a decision, a turning point, a victory of character. It becomes part of the story we tell ourselves about who we are. At the same time, jewelry carries a timeless wisdom: it is one of the rare possessions that never loses its legitimacy. It accompanies life’s passages, moves across generations, and retains intrinsic value beyond fashion. In that sense, it is always a win situation emotionally, symbolically, and materially. It is both intimate expression and enduring investment. From this vision emerged The Philosophy Project.
